How many times and when should I post on Facebook?

There are many ways to keep your business websites, pages, groups, products, & services activated. To keep the audience involved with the products and services, companies usually prefer to post as much as possible on their Facebook pages and groups. But posting too much on Facebook is not a good idea and it instead of attracting people, starts decreasing the number of likes on your pages.

Your Facebook should be current:

The most of the updates you get on your Facebook posts are in the first 3 hours. Later the posts apparently disappear. Many times your posts even don’t reach to your visitors who visits like once in a day. So, having the latest and current posts is important. Often it happens that you post the high quality content but after a few hours you do not get any likes or comments. On contrary, you find that people are making comments and hitting likes on other low quality posts by other people or companies. All this has to do most with timing. Therefore, it is necessary to post about anything new with little variations once every 5-6 hours that is you should post about 3 times a day during normal working hours. Posting once every 4 times is the most suitable number if you are on some Facebook page.

Your number of posts should be according to your friends/audience:

If you are posting from your individual personal account, then it is more necessary to consider the nature of your friends. Different people have different choice and likings. So, if you are a student, most of your friends will be from your age group. So, you can post like 4 times a day. But if you are some professional having other professionals in your friend list, then it is more probable that they will not like too many posts. In such case, posting once or at most twice a day will be enough.

Best occasions to post on your Facebook:

Studies have shown that there are various good events for your Facebook posts.
From businesses point of view, they should post whenever they have website updates, some new event occurrence, some new product launch, some meeting, or any achievement.

From individual’s point of view, they should post whenever they have something new or exciting in their lives to share, they have had a tremendous achievement, they have watched the high ranked or the latest movie etc.

Best times to post on your Facebook:

By Facebook statistics and by different studies, it has been revealed that postings between 1:00 to 4:30 pm get the most of the user reviews and traffic. So, this is the best time to make Facebook posts. Another study shows that 3:00 PM Wednesday is the finest time to post or share anything on Facebook. Even though most of the people use Facebook after 8:00 pm but posting after 8:00 pm do not get the good response.
The most suitable, attractive and the best time of week for Facebook postings is the weekend evening, usually the posts made on Friday evening gets tremendous response.
So, working hours from 1:00 to 4:00, TV time, & Weekends are the most appropriate times for making Facebook posts.

So what do I do?

Great Questions I post 5 times a day before 9am, between 11 & 12 after 1pm, after 5pm and after 8pm.. The thing with any of your social media posts, is testing and measuring, you can never be sure when you ideal/target market client is online, so be guided by using the Facebook insights to monitor your posts… and have fun 🙂
